Cost and Registration

 The 5K event begins at 8am at Celebration Park in Gardner, KS.  The Bases for Brent begins at 9am adjacent to the start/finish line.

Registration for the Run/Walk is $25 for those who register online by 4/30/2010.

On-line registration is necessary for both the 5K Run/Walk and the Bases for Brent celebration.

Ages 12 and older need to register for the event, children under 12 can participate for free, however only registered participants will get an event t-shirt and goody bag.

 If you register later than 4/30/2010, registration is $30.

You can register online (Click here!)  by mailing payment with your registration form in the mail, or you can register at Packet Pickup, or at the 5K event.

 There will be no rain date or rescheduling of this event.  No refunds can be given in the event of a cancellation.
Please check the website in the event of questionable weather.

Event Description

Race participants who wish to register on event day, can do so at our Registration & Packet Pickup tent.  From there, participants will be invited to visit some of our sponsors, as well as collect some great “swag items” and enjoy fresh fruits and bagels as refreshments.  The event will follow some brief announcements about the Brent Bays Foundation, a moving rendition of The Star Spangled Banner, and a prayer.  The horn will blow at 8am, starting the Run/Walk. The Run/Walk will be timed with professional chip timing services. 

 After running or walking in honor of Brent and other cancer survivors of the community, participants will recharge with fresh oranges, bananas, and other nourishments – and will be invited to cheer on the “Bases for Brent” participants. 

After both the 5K and the Bases for Brent are finished, we'll wrap up with a brief awards ceremony and some great door prizes!  Stick around - you won't want to miss it.
